Thanks to a variety of fieldwork options, you’ll have plenty of chances to put what you learn in the classroom to use in the lives of real people seeking help:
- Three of your required courses take place entirely in our human performance lab.
- Many other courses have lab components.
- You’ll complete a total of six credit hours in practical internships, including at least two credits working with geriatric populations (a fast-growing area for jobs), where you can experiment with different fields to see which ones feel like a good fit.

- Wellness in Special Populations: From Pediatrics to Geriatrics — Examine common pathologies across the lifespan and their implications for exercise participation.
