Ashland University offers a variety of Professional Development online instructional formats that respond to the individual learning style, personal schedule, and interest of the student. All of the classes meet the University’s criteria for graduate credit. However, due to the diversity in formats and content that are available, participants are encouraged to notify their district prior to enrolling in a class. Participating organizations include:

- Battelle for Kids - online assessment learning path and value-added classes
- Critical Connections - one credit classes targeting classroom teacher and administrator issues
- Department of Defense - limited to Department of Defense Educators
- ESC of Central Ohio - HQT classes and more
- Jackson Local Schools - two credit hour classes targeting classroom instruction
- Lorain County JVS/Adult Career Center - one & two credit classes targeting classroom instruction and school administration
- Medina County ESC - one & two credit classes targeting classroom instruction and school administration
- TeacherOnlineEducation.com - opportunities for K-12 educators who offer instruction in a variety of content areas
- VESi - multimedia, interactive two and three credit courseware designed around current educational topics and teaching processes
- WVIZ/PBS ideastream - one to three credit book study, technology, content and instructional strategy classes
