The Ashland University women's basketball team will open play in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament on Friday, Mar. 9 at 6 p.m., against Maryville at Kates Gymnasium. Ashland University is the top seed in the tournament. Maryville, the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament champion, is the eighth seed.
Tickets for the Midwest Regional Tournament will go on sale on Wednesday, Mar. 7 at 8 a.m., at the main office of the Ashland University athletic department. Tickets are $10 for adults and $4 for students and will be sold from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Wednesday and Thursday, Mar. 7-8. On Friday, the games will be divided into two sessions. Games will be played at noon, 2:30 p.m., 6 and 8:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold for the first session (the noon and 2:30 p.m. games) and the second session (6 and 8:30 p.m. games). Kates Gymnasium will be cleared between sessions.
