The College of Arts & Sciences
The largest college on campus, the College of Arts and Sciences includes 17 departments — everything from fine art to environmental science, mathematics to fashion merchandising. In addition to both Bachelor of Science and Arts degrees, the College offers a Master’s degree in Creative Writing and a Master of American History and Government for those who wish to pursue additional studies. Each department is committed to giving you unlimited opportunities to shine and each is devoted to graduating students who are ready to take on the world as confident, competent leaders.
Richard E. & Sandra J. Dauch College of Business & Economics
Good business skills are essential to any organization. At Ashland’s College of Business and Economics, you gain both practical skills and theory taught in classrooms where you’ll receive lots of one-on-one attention. The College also is proud to include the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies devoted to the encouragement of the entrepreneurial spirit and to fanning the fires of innovation that bring new business ideas to our community and world. The College also offers the Master of Business Administration degree for those who wish to pursue additional studies.
Dwight Schar College of Education
Our College of Education is one of the largest among independent and state institutions in Ohio. We offer extensive undergraduate specializations as well as the individual attention from caring faculty that is a hallmark of an Ashland University education. When you graduate from Ashland’s College of Education, you’ll hold a degree that is sought-after by public and private school systems throughout the state. The College offers one of the largest Master of Education programs in Ohio as well as the Doctor of Education program.
Dwight Schar College of Nursing
Our College of Nursing evolved from a hospital-based diploma program which was established in 1919 by the Mansfield General Hospital. Founded in 1997 under MedCentral and acquired by Ashland University in 2010, the College of Nursing is a private institution of higher education offering programs of study leading to the baccalaureate degree in nursing. Together, the rich tradition of the School of Nursing, now the College of Nursing, has served communities around the country for more than 90 years. We currently boast more than 1500 nursing alumni, who are leaders in their profession.
Founders School of Continuing Education
Created in 2010, the Founders School of Continuing Education brings together outreach programs, continuing education (CEU’s), professional development, economic education, post-secondary options and adults studies under the direction of Dean Dwight McElfresh.
